Teach your child Independence Skills

Mastering independece skills is an essential part of getting ready for kindergarten. If your child is going to kindy next year, then now is the time to start practicing.

Skills that your child should learn:

->Putting jacket on and off

-> putting on backpack

-> Unzipping and zipping backpack/jacket

-> opening and closing lunchbox/ waterbottle

->washing hands and mouth after they eat

-> putting on shoes

-> identifying their belongings is very important. Label every item.

-> Taking out homework book

-> Going to the toilet on their own

Sending your child to kindergarten is already frustrating and  a struggle, teaching your child these independence skills will make the transition smoother and easier for both of you. Good luck!
